Beautiful Things for Babies and Kids
In the past two years since Theo was born, I've signed up for emails from countless children's brands, and Lord knows how many baby brands I follow on Instagram. I don't feel great about how much consumerism is part of my everyday, but I do try to limit what we purchase to things we love, need, would find useful, etc., and remind myself it's okay to appreciate material things for their aesthetic value but not senselessly buy everything that will fill up my home.
Having said that, here's what I am currently eyeing, with a couple that I've actually purchased:
This muslin quilt which would be great for Theo this summer.
This toddler memory book. We have Lucy Darling baby books for Theo and for the new baby. I love the fun illustrations and ease of keeping up with the prompts.. We purchased this book and it's pretty large, so we intend to make it a family book to include memories from both kids.
A Moses basket from Plum & Sparrow. Apparently they restock every two weeks and are nearly impossible to snag before selling out. As if we don't have enough places to set the baby, but it's so beautiful. | Photo via Beijos Events
Newborn onesie from Monica + Andy for our baby. I love a fresh newborn in white, and this heathered cream gives the neutral a little more texture and interest. We bought this in size newborn and 0–3 month and will return the one that doesn't fit as well for newborn photos.
